Working collaboratively to improve outcomes for the brain injured

Consumers with traumatic brain injury are seeing improved wait times for rehabilitation in the community, thanks to a recently completed quality improvement project.
Along with sector partners including ACC, Active+, Middlemore Hospital, AUT and our own concussion service, we worked together to assess and improve access to community rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury when people leave hospital.

ABI is proud of this collaboration which contributed to ACC facilitating system change to ensure those presenting at hospital with a concussion or moderate traumatic brain injury are able to refer easily (and quickly) to community TBI rehabilitation teams.
