Quality Projects
Our quality projects are examples of how we implement changes in the way we do things in order to improve. Quality projects follow a circular path, in which we identify the issue and investigate what is known about the issue and the data available to us. We then develop and action plan about how we with investigate new treatments or processes. Then we trial and evaluate the outcomes of the trial. The findings of the project will then be discussed before a decision to implement as part of the service is made. The continuous quality process includes the continuation of the quality circle to do more cycles to further improve care. Often we find that the outcomes of the projects evolve over time because what was once an innovation has become ‘usual practice’.
Below are examples of quality projects in our intensive inpatient service.
