Art Auctions for ABI Rehab and Auckland Rescue Helicopter

Please remember to check out, share and consider bidding on the art auctions listed on TradeMe. You can click on this link here Listings from arht1970 | Trade Me

The auctions close on Sunday evening.  There are beautiful large scale paintings of Muriwai Beach, Waihi Beach, Mt Taranaki, Rogers Boat on Onetangi Beach and Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown.  There are 2 limited edition prints also available of paintings of Mt Ruapehu and Lake Wakatipu.

The art has been generously donated by Phil Hanson, to say thanks to both organisations for supporting his son, Aaron in his recovery and rehabilitation from a severe Traumatic Brain Injury in July 2020 at Muriwai Beach.

The proceeds raised from the auctions will be shared between ABI and the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.  ABI will use the proceeds raised to purchase Virtual Reality (VR) technology (hardware and software) for use at the Intensive Inpatient rehabilitation sites in Auckland and Wellington.  The rehabilitation team are very excited about being able to offer VR as part of their rehabilitation offerings.

For more details about Aaron and his whānau journey, have a read of this article in last week’s NZ Herald.  ABI is so proud of Aaron’s recovery and incredibly humbled by Phil’s generosity.
