World Social Work Day

Nga Mihi

World Social Work Day was recently celebrated. This is the day social workers worldwide stand together to advance a common message globally. This year the theme is Ubuntu: I am Because We Are – strengthening social solidarity and global connectedness.

ABI recognises our social workers’ essential role in connecting people and whānau to their communities and navigating agencies. Our social workers walk alongside whānau and people to support them in their rehabilitation journey to achieve their goals and help them take control of their lives and decisions.

ABI has a team of 8 Social workers working across New Zealand in our different settings of inpatient intensive services, community rehabilitation and residential disability services.

Happy World Social Work day to our ABI Social Workers. We appreciate you all, celebrate you and ngā mihi nui, ki a koutou, thank you all for your incredible mahi!
