Bringing International Quality Standards to New Zealand

ABI Rehabilitation has registered for ‘CARF’. The service will be the first in Australasia to adopt these best-practice standards that are now mandatory for providers in many countries. Last year, we brought the CEO of CARF to NZ to give us ‘CARF 101’ and we were quickly convinced of its value for us and for the field of rehabilitation in this country.

Even now, the links with CARF have opened up contacts throughout the world – from Ireland to Saudi Arabia – for benchmarking and learning. The wonderful thing about the CARF system is the absolute focus on the quality of the service delivery to clients and families-whānau and their experience within a rehabilitation service.
