Information for Clients & Families
How we help
We provide a range of specialist services to support the needs of people who have experienced traumatic brain injuries (sometimes referred to as TBI), head injuries or strokes. Because every case is different, every client has different needs. We bring together an experienced team of specialists to develop and provide a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual client's needs.
Our experienced staff is made up of medical specialists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, speech therapists, physiotherapists and social workers, and we work closely with other specialists as required.
Residential Services
Many clients stay with us during the initial stages of their rehabilitation in one of our two residential facilities located in Auckland (Ranui) and Wellington (Porirua). More information about these centres, including photos, visiting information and advice about what to bring can be found here.

One of the things people often tell us is that they find the terminology and medical speak confusing as they try to understand what's happened to their friend or family member who's suffered a traumatic brain injury, head injury or stroke and is undergoing rehabilitation treatment.
So we've gathered together some useful information about how the brain works, types and effects of brain injuries, and the rehabilitation process.
We've tried as much as possible to make this information easy to understand. We hope it's useful. Please let us know if you think we can improve it. We're always open to your feedback and suggestions for improvements.
